    該機采用計算機軟件控制，高倍率光學測量系統，光電傳感器等技術實現測量裝置與壓頭自動切換，通過軟件輸入，光源的強弱自動調節，并選擇維氏與努氏試驗方法、保持時間、文件號與儲存等，提供了各種硬度值的轉換表以供參考，在LCD大屏幕顯示屏上能顯示試驗方法、試驗力、測量壓痕長度、硬度值、試驗力保持時間，測量次數并能鍵入年、月、日期，試驗結果和數據處理等，通過打印機輸出。
